Why there is a research agenda
Thinking, not case studies.
The governed operational decision is a category before it is a product, and the category has requirements nobody has finished writing down.
Research exists to work those requirements out: what has to be present for a decision to be governed rather than merely informed, what a record has to keep, and how such a decision should be judged afterwards. It is not a lab, not a portfolio and not marketing in a lab coat.
Nothing here is presented as a result. Where a question is open, it is listed as an open question.

A standing note on open data
Research on open drilling data is not equivalent to qualification on a customer's own operations.
Open datasets are useful for developing architecture and method. They are not evidence that a method performs on another operator's wells, and DataEnergy does not present them as such.
AI proposes. Policy decides what is permitted. People authorize. Every decision keeps its evidence.
