Brian Schulte

International Multidisciplinary Geoscientist

Brian is a principal geoscientist with 30 years of experience in international projects from 25 countries on 5 continents. He mentored and taught AVO, seismic inversion, pore pressure, and rock properties. He has a wide range of experience in interpreting on/offshore seismic data.

Brian started his career with Schlumberger as an onboard processor in 1991. He processed seismic data for potential prospects using  Kirchhoff Prestack Time Migration (PSTM). He was part of the development of technologies in Vastar Resources that focused on Prestack Interpretation and pore pressures. Joined BP in 2000 and developed the workflow that flattened the gathers using Curved Ray Kirchhoff Prestack Time Migration. Involved with the Troika 4D which was the first 4D that used two completely different marine speculative surveys as the base and monitor. Later, he was involved with deep water processing with Geokinetics. From 2010 to 2015 he spent on AVO and quantitative interpretation. He is currently working as a geophysical advisor in  Schiefer Reservoir Consulting.
